Elegant slender and fairly tall (11.75" x 4.75" around base area) pot showing the refined use of color and native clays used by this accomplished Diné artist. She uses a traditional thin coat of pitch along with polishing the surface with riverwashed stone to bring out the natural colors of the clay as they are changed by the firing process. This is a piece she created in 2010. Her work is in museums, has won awards in Santa Fe and Flagstaff, and was in the collection of former Vice President Warren Mondale and his wife, Joan.
